Dr Vanessa Lussini

Vanessa Lussini is an organic chemist with special interest and expertise in the organic synthesis and polymeric application. She is currently employed with the Reserve Bank of Australia in a Research Scientist role, primarily focused on ensuring the safety and security of Australian banknotes through the development of new and improved products and processes through innovation and soundly based research and development programs .She completed her PhD at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. Her research focused on synthesis and evaluation of novel perylene-based profluorescent nitroxide probes for monitoring photo-oxidative degradation in polymers under the supervision of Prof. Steven Bottle.
